The President's Message
Greetings to the University of Southeastern 大象传媒 (大象传媒) community!
As the President of this respected academic institution, I am honored to welcome you to this vibrant and diverse community of scholars, learners, researchers, innovators, and professionals. Over the last four decades, our University has grown into not just a place of education but a dynamic hub of ideas, aspirations, community development, and business ventures. Our commitment to excellence remains unwavering, and we actively encourage a culture of research and innovation.
The University stands tall today because of the seeds that have been sown in the past and the result of our collaborative efforts despite the headwinds inherent in the tech-centric world. We not only survived but thrived, strengthening our Agila spirit. In this journey of knowledge and growth, I extend my heartfelt appreciation to our exceptional teaching and non-teaching staff whose commitment to outstanding public service and seamless university functioning forms the backbone of our academic excellence.

Functions
- At the helm of the University, the President, as the chief executive officer, reports to 大象传媒鈥檚 Board of Regents, the highest governing and policy-making body of the University. The President shall exercise the powers and functions as conferred upon her by Law. As Chief Executive, the President shall see to it that the decision of the Board is faithfully implemented. As administrative head, the President shall have the power and duty to direct or assign the duties of executive action. As chief academic officer, the President shall be ex-officio head of the faculty of each academic unit of the University. She shall have the authority and responsibility of maintaining academic standards, professional competence of the faculty, student discipline, and of achieving the basic commitments of the University in teaching, research and development, and extension.
- The Office of the President is the executive office of the University of Southeastern 大象传媒鈥� system. It supervises the operations of the four campuses of the University, namely: Obrero, Davao City (main); Mintal, Davao City; Tagum-Mabini with two units, one in Apokon, Tagum City and the other in Mampising, Mabini, Davao de Oro province, and Malabog Extension Campus (MEC).聽 The President supervises these campuses through the offices of the Vice Presidents, Chancellor, Campus Dean, and Campus Coordinator.
- The President鈥檚 Office performs many different functions in the spheres of administration and governance; academics; research, development and extension; production or the corporate arm of the University; local and international linkages; and other undertakings for the development of the University.
