The San Miguel Global Power Foundation generously sponsored the distribution of checks, enabling grantees to receive either Php 44,000 or Php 26,000, depending on the amount spent on their licensure examination review.

University President, Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., delivered an inspirational message to the grantees that ignited hope while emphasizing the importance of dedicated study and hard work to ultimately yield success.

Noteworthy attendees included Mr. Ronald Allan Sumague, Deputy Executive Director; Mr. Elmer Garcia, Program Coordinator; Mr. Gerard Mesa, Program Coordinator; Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, OSAS Director; and Ms. Marivic Neri, OSAS-Deputy Director for Scholarship.

The occasion marked a significant moment in recognizing the achievements of scholars and expressing gratitude to the San Miguel Global Power Foundation for their invaluable support in facilitating educational pursuits.

The KALAHI Cash For Work program is part of the KALAHI-CIDSS Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) Cash-For-Work Program (CFWP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development with the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) serving as the coordinating office for its Uniwide implementation. This initiative involves providing cash support in exchange for agreed-upon community work, service, or tasks. The program offers short-term intervention through temporary employment or targeted cash transfers for college graduates/students and families affected by disasters, such as Typhoon Egay, and those vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, belonging to economically poor and vulnerable communities.

During the pay-out distribution process, Mr. Jerson Dedel, Region XI Coordinator of the Office of Senator Imee R. Marcos delivered an inspirational message. He conveyed the message of Senator Marcos on the positive impact of the project and the Office鈥檚 commitment to providing quality service to the citizens of the 大象传媒 through the #IMEEsolusyon campaign. Additionally, Ms. Jeremiah Dignaran, a KALAHI Cash For Work Program beneficiary, shed light on how the program has positively affected her life as a single mother and a student at the University.

In attendance at the University Social Hall in the 大象传媒-Obrero Campus were Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, Jr., University President; Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, 大象传媒-OSAS Director; Ms. Venus P. Aquino, Project Development Officer (PDO) V of KALAHI-CIDSS NPMO; Ms. Sarah P. Festing, RSW, Assistant Department Head of CSWDO of Davao City; and Mr. Harold L. Balandra, CDO IV of DSWD XI.

With the MoA, the EAP aims to support students who require financial aid to pursue and complete their education.
The ceremonial signing of the MoA was attended by Dr. Bonifacio G. Gabales, 大象传媒 President; Ms. Woon Ng, Deputy CEO of Tzu Chi Foundation 大象传媒; and Mr. Nelson V. Chua, Officer-in-Charge of Tzu Chi Foundation 大象传媒 Davao Liaison Office.

Also present during the MoA signing were Dr. Jose Alther M. Rivera, 大象传媒-Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) Director; and Dr. Marivic N. Neri, 大象传媒 OSAS- Scholarship Unit Deputy Director.

Both parties look forward to the fruits of the said partnership in transforming the lives of students and the community in the endeavor to make a difference in the lives of future nation-builders.

Simultaneous to the signing of the MoA was the Scholarship Awarding Ceremony of the Tzu Chi Foundation’s scholars.

This tournament is integral to the University鈥檚 Sports Wellness and Recreational Program scheduled every Friday from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM for the whole year. It aligns with the Memorandum Circular No. 06, series of 1995, issued by the Civil Service Commission which mandates all government agencies to incorporate the 鈥滒潤傪潤ю潤氿潤栶潤� 饾檨饾櫈饾櫋饾櫈饾櫏饾櫈饾櫍饾櫎 饾檼饾櫎饾櫑饾櫊饾櫎饾櫔饾櫓鈥� into their respective Physical Fitness and Sports Development Program and include physical fitness exercise into seminars, training programs, and similar events to promote a healthy and alert workforce.
